Day 1: Arrive Cairo
Welcome to Egypt, the gift of the Nile as described by Herodotus. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, Memphis Tours representative will meet and assist you, handle all your arrival procedures through passport control, luggage area and customs formalities. After that you will be transferred from the airport by a private air-conditioned Car to the luxury hotel, Conrad Cairo which offers panoramic views over the Nile and the city. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Pyramids Tour
First, see the ancient capital of Memphis which was founded by King Menes and was the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom. Then proceed to the Step Pyramid at Sakkara which was designed by the architect Imhotep for his master King Zoser. Lunch at the Khan El Khalili Restaurant in the palatial Mena House Hotel, situated at the foot of the pyramids After that, visit the pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus at Giza. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, dates from the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. Return to Conrad Cairo Hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Cairo Tour / Fly To Luxor
Check out from the hotel. Proceed to visit the Egyptian Museum to see the treasures of Tutankhamun, among many other fascinating pharaonic artifacts. Trip to see the Hanging Church and Abu Sirga Church at Coptic Cairo. Lunch in local restaurant. Transfer to Cairo Airport for flight to Luxor. Check in at the splendid Al Moudira Hotel on the west bank. This hotel, which looks like an oriental palace, is set in tropical gardens, and situated near the Valley of the Kings as well as the Royal Valley Golf Course. It is surrounded by fields of sugar cane on one side, and the rolling desert sands on the other. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 4: Luxor Sightseeing
Cross the Nile to the east bank and pay a visit to the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history that was dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco Roman period. Then pay a visit to Luxor Temple with its beautiful lotus capital columns, which is dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun-Re, Mut, and Khonsu. Lunch at Local restaurant. Then proceed to visit Luxor Museum to see the well-preserved pharaonic furniture and many other intriguing ancient artefacts. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 5: Dendara Tour
Transfer by an air-conditioned vehicle to the Ptolemaic Temple of Hathor at Dandera, then move on to the splendid Temple of Seti I at Abydos (private convoy), which features superb stone relief work. Packed lunch. Return to hotel and overnight in Luxor.
Day 6: Luxor West Bank
Early morning, no time is wasted in immersing you incredible excursion takes you to Valley of the Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial. After that enjoy the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty. Then onto Colossi of Memnon. Day 7: Return to Cairo
Transfer to Luxor Airport for flight to Cairo. Check in at the Conrad Hotel which offers panoramic views over the Nile and the city. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 8: Alexandria Sightseeing
After breakfast, transfer to Alexandria, the second capital of Egypt, visiting Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay on the spot of Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse. See the grand Montazah Palace, which combines Turkish and Florentine architectural styles, then move on to the new and much acclaimed Alexandria Library. Also visit the Roman cemetery cut out of the rock, the Catacombs. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to Cairo and overnight.
Day 9: Final Departure
Breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
