Day 1: Saturday 20th December
Welcome to Egypt, the gift of the Nile as described by Herodotus. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by Memphis Tours representative who will help you during passport control, luggage area and customs formalities. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check in and overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Sunday 21st December
After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the Giza pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, dates from the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. After that visit the Egyptian Museum where you can see the great pharaonic treasures including those of Tutankhamun. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Monday 22nd December
Transfer from Cairo Airport to Luxor where you will be met and assisted, then taken by an air-conditioned vehicle to board your 5 star Nile Cruise, floating hotel. After lunch on board, pay a visit to the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history that was dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco Roman period. Then pay a visit to Luxor Temple that was built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Tuesday 23rd December
Early morning, no time is wasted in immersing you incredible excursion takes you to Valley of the Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial. After that enjoy El Deir Bahari Temple which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty. Then onto the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch, then sail to Edfu. Enjoy a leisurely dinner on board. Overnight on boat.
Day 5: Wednesday 24th December
Visit the well-preserved Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to Horus at Edfu that was built during the reign of Ptolemy VIII to Ptolemy XII and considered the most preserved temple in Egypt. Continue sailing to Kom Ombo to see the Temple of Sobek that was built on the honour of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris or the ancient falcon-headed Horus.. Lunch on board. Continue sailing to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6: Thursday 25th December
Enjoy a day’s sightseeing in Aswan. Start with the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk which is considered the largest piece of stone ever made and most probably this obelisk belongs to Queen Hatshepsut, then on to the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. Sail to Elephantine Island on a local felucca boat. The island named Elephantine as it was a major ivory trading center or because Egyptians first saw the Elephant in this district. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7: Friday: 26th December
Transfer to Aswan airport for flight to Cairo, where you'll be met and assisted at Cairo International airport and driven to your hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Day 8: Saturday 27th December
Breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
